Meet Dr. Wiggins
I graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences and went on to receive my Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Washington in 1977. I have practiced general dentistry in Puyallup for 39 years. I am a member of the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association, and the Pierce County Dental Association. I am actively involved in continuing dental education in order to stay current with new and relevant clinical and academic standards to better serve my patients.
I wanted to become a dentist from the time I was twelve years old. Once I decided that was going to be my life's pursuit, that desire never wavered.
Dentistry encompasses so much and I really love what I do. We have a family practice so we are able to meet the needs of three-year-olds coming in for their first dental visit to senior citizens and everyone else in between! My wife, Debra, is a dental hygienist and together with a really wonderful team of co-workers, we focus on providing quality clinical care. Establishing good rapport with patients based on honesty and respect is paramount. Many of our patients have been with us for years...myself and the staff are happy to call these folks friends.
I am very proud of the care we provide in this practice and would be remiss if I did not mention the team I have the pleasure to work with everyday. I work side by side with outstanding professionals, several of whom have been with the practice twenty plus years. They are all exceptional in their related positions, but it is their commitment to the care and needs of our patients that make them incredible people to work with. The one goal we strive for here at the office is to treat one another with mutual respect. We all have a unique set of skills and we work to use those skills to help others everyday.
I grew up in Lakewood and Debra, my wife of 40 years, was raised in Puyallup, where we have lived for 36 years. We are fortunate to have many friends and family members who live close by, including our wonderful daughter and son-in-law, Whitney and Gary. Deb and I have two very active bird dogs, Oz and Zoey, and we spend lots of time on house and yard projects! I love vintage cars and many outdoor activities, but my passion is fly fishing.
